Chartered Physiotherapist with expertise in working with people who have moving and handling needs
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1988 and have been working in the field of moving and handling people since 1996. This means that I work with organisations who provide care, health or educational services; devising safe systems of work and assessing people of all ages who need help to move.
I now work with a small number of associates, all of whom are registered health professionals with expertise in this field.
Elizabeth and her associates carry out manual handling risk assessments of people with disabilities and devise handling plans. Our recommendations are clearly described and reasoned.
Risk assessments are commissioned by case managers, schools, social services, clinical commissioning groups and family members.
Elizabeth and her associates devise and deliver a range of carefully tailored manual handling training which is consistently evaluated as being of excellent quality.
Training is commissioned by care providers, case managers, schools, people who directly employ their own personal assistants, teams of physiotherapists and occupational therapists and hospices.
Elizabeth has completed the Bond Solon/Cardiff University Expert Witness Certificate training and provides expert reports for solicitors and for the National Crime Agency.
